What is concrete drilling?

Concrete drilling is a technique used by professionals to make a precise circular cut into existing concrete, brick, asphalt, tile, or cinder block. While there is certainly still a necessity for backhoes and jack hammers in some construction projects, consider the ease and effectiveness of drilling a hole to technologically precise dimensions instead.

Why concrete drilling?

Concrete drilling is a time and cost-effective method for making passage in existing surfaces to house plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and telecommunication lines as well as anchoring devices. Drilling for a specific application instead of removing whole sections of a surface reduces the time and expense involved in removing debris, replacing surface, and limited or no use of the area while under construction.

Why core drilling?

A core drill removes a precisely measured cylinder of material. Instead of the mess created and repairs involved by breaking the surface, a core drill neatly removes an exact portion of material to enable the application of lines or wires.

Using state of the art diamond core drills, a sharp, precise hole can be achieved in nearly any surface at diameters ranging from 1/2″ to 60″. The applications are virtually limitless. Holes can be drilled precisely according to any specifications into slabs, walls, and ceilings, straight or at angles.

Core drilling is faster and more exacting than other methods. Holes can be drilled to any depth and in limited and confined spaces. Using core drilling greatly reduces the time involved in set up, completing the job, and cleanup, as well as the necessity to employ multiple pieces of heavy equipment.

Core drilling is cleaner. Using either electric or hydraulic power, core drills have the ability to operate without excess noise, fumes or exhaust, dust or debris. This gives core drilling an overwhelming advantage for indoor projects including factories, offices, and homes.

As you can see, concrete core drilling is an extremely practical and viable solution for your construction needs.
